People are willing to help you get started if you are willing to ask questions. This is a great place to find a mentor!

I hope after reading this, you realize that there are no "get rich quick schemes" out there. If someone is selling you that, they are probably pulling your leg. I prefer to go on the internet through Explorer but my children all prefer Firefox. Just pick one. That is the easy part of getting started.

Now go to a search engine such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Type in a word or phrase of something you want to know about. It will open up into an article choice. Click on that article. This is probably how you got to the article you are now reading. That article has content that will hopefully teach you something you want to know about.

At the bottom of that article is probably going to be a link to direct you to another site that will help you find out more information on the subject. Sometimes, those sites have information or items for sale. Other times those sites offer monthly memberships. You look at it and if you are truly interested, you buy. That author just made money online. It was that simple.

Whether it was the author's site or information obtained from someone else, did not matter. The fact that the author drove business to it made them money. Someone paid them for that click. This form of selling can even be done with no money out of pocket, absolutely free. Any amateur can do this.

The person without internet savvy buys off the sites, why not reverse it and sell the same way. When you sell an informational program or product that belongs to someone else, you are doing affiliate marketing. It is one of the many ways to make money online but the easiest for beginners, I believe.

There are a few steps to follow in order to get started. First, you have to find an affiliate marketer whose product you understand and want to promote. You can do this through a search engine by typing in affiliate markets or even checking with one you buy from now such as eBay. I prefer to find my affiliates through ClickBank.com.

Then you have to get a payment account such as ClickBank or PayPal. Next, you have to get a Domain name from a company such as GoDaddy.com. Last, submit an informative article to an online article publishing company such as EzineArticles.com. These steps can be done in less than a day and you could be signed up and starting to make money. Do not let the internet frighten you. It works for everyone no matter your age or education.

All you have to do is put your mind to it and convince yourself to take that first step like I did. Take one step at a time and conquer that before you learn more or move on. Do not overwhelm yourself if you are a beginner. Just do it. And remember that there are resources such as books, articles, videos, websites, and coaches out there to help you if you need encouragement or want to make a real career out of it. I have no money to get started. Are there any easy ways to make money on the internet that are free?

It is interesting that after 4 years online that still has not changed. I have seen websites built around the keywords of making money online and I have found that 99 out of 100 people who come to those websites do not have any money to get started at all. The reason they are online typing in make money online, or work at home, and other keywords is they want to make money not spend it.

For two years I sat at my computer every day and tried to start an online business. Here are some of the basic truths I learned about online businesses.

What Kind of Online Business Do You Want?
Let's have a look at what kind of online businesses there are. I will talk about five types of internet businesses, three of which I recommend and the other two I have doubts about.

A. THE TYPES OF BUSINESSES I RECOMMEND

1. Selling Good or Services
Many people have made a respectable living on the internet by selling goods such as clothing, groceries, books etc. Others have successfully sold services such as job directories, writing services and training courses in fields as diverse as udon noodle making to university degrees. These businesses do not differ much from those down your main street except that you can see their wares displayed on their websites.

2. Selling Someone Else's Goods and Services For A Commission.
On the internet this is usually known as Affiliate Marketing. In this situation you find a business that is already running successfully, and you advertise and sell their product in any way that you can. When you make a sale, you receive a percentage of the proceeds as a commission - often as much as 75% or even more.
You can find affiliate programs that will suit you by googling 'affiliate programs' into your browser, or going to sites such as AffiliateSeeking.com or Clickbank.

3. Taking Surveys
There are a lot of programs on the internet that offer money for taking surveys or for testing a product and writing an appraisal of it. These are usually not big money earners, but can provide good pocket money.
I have only had one problem with these programs. I am retired and don't belong to the right demographic group. It seems that there are very few companies that are interested in feedback from retired people!

B. THE TYPES OF BUSINESSES I HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT.

1. Multi Level Marketing (MLM)
This is one of the main types of business offered on the internet, and in the real world too. It is basically a system of selling in which you sign up other people to assist you, and they, in turn, recruit others to help them. Any income earned from recruiting or from sales of the product is divided between the "levels" of agents that have been recruited.

However, there are many multi-level distributorship schemes that are nothing more than sophisticated chain letters, which we have probably all received and delegated to the "trash" file. They operate as a "pyramid," claiming participants can earn lots of money by concentrating most, if not all, of their efforts on recruiting distributors rather than selling a product.

"Multi-level marketing is system of marketing which puts more emphasis upon the recruiting of distributors than on the selling of products. As such, it is intrinsically flawed. MLM is very attractive, however, because it sells hope and appears to be outside the mainstream of business as usual. It promises wealth and independence to all. Unfortunately, no matter what the product, MLM is doomed to produce more failures than successes. For every MLM distributor who makes a decent living or even a decent supplemental income, there are at least ten who do little more than buy products and promotional materials, costing them much more than they will ever earn as an MLM agent. The most successful MLM scheme is Amway. It has millions of distributors worldwide with sales in the billions. At the turn of the century, the average Amway distributor earned about $700 a year in sales, but spent about $1,000 a year on Amway products. By this I mean those programs in which you pay a fee to be given a website, and your business is to get other people to link on to your website and pay a fee to get a website of their own. They then do the same thing and try and get people to their website to pay a fee . . . and so on!

Both of these are capable of bringing in an income of sorts, but you have to be an exceptional salesperson to make MLM work.

Cost cutting in businesses is a common exercise that ranges from employee number cut down to use less light at work areas and less equipment utilized to save on maintenance costs such as electricity. If it is possible, you should also consider cutting down prices to attract more customers and clients and to have more money flowing in.

If you have existing debts, you may call your creditors and bank loan officers and make a deal with them to lower your monthly payments or to reconstruct or consolidate your debts. You can consider delaying payment of your accounts and other payables but make sure that you do not incur monetary penalties for being late on due dates.

To advertise your business in a less costly way during a bad economy, you can make use of the online community to set up advertisements and thus get more people to your products and services.

As far as I’m concerned personally, any chance you have to get traffic virally, build your list virally, or distribute an ebook or software which can have viral elements you should be doing it.

The most popular and famous example of viral marketing was Hotmail. By placing a link at the bottom of their emails for anybody else to get their program created an overnight phenomenon. Day after day, there were thousands of more people signing up for Hotmail accounts. I don’t know what the count is these days but it’s in the millions. Jay was stating that that sort of list that is inside a viral cloaking site isn’t really targeted at all. And you know what? He’s right! He’s right because many of the people that may be in your downline may not be in your niche at all. These people signed up through your reference to the site perhaps, but, I’m sure many of them did it for their own reasons of building their business, but they might be in the “no smoking” niche for all we know. Why would they want to receive emails from another guy that would perhaps be in the “food” niche etc.

I replied to Jay’s post because I knew that the method I’m using viral link cloaking for is entirely different. I told Jay that, for one, I have never emailed my downline in a viral link cloaking and tracking site. The reason I use viral link cloakers is because it gets my ads shown on hundreds of other sites. When my ads are clicked they are interested in the headline of my ad, then taken to a squeeze page of one of my free reports and then people opt-in to my real list! Jay agreed, stating that, yes, I can see if you use them that way it would benefit you. And it does! I enjoy new signups for my list everyday because of this method.

Most readers of my blog know I’m a huge advocate for Viral Spiral. Heck, I must be, I liked the program so much I jumped at the chance to work for Tim Brocklehurst. I’m actually learning a lot from him without even asking much of the time. So it worked out real great!

Viral marketing solutions provide a great way of getting a non-stop flow of traffic to your offers. Use the systems consistently and long term and holy crap, in some time your traffic will get amazing.

My solution in using them for list building is pretty straight forward really.

Well, viral, viral, viral…. every time somebody gives it away with his links in it, he’s getting traffic from all of those people, and then from all of the people that they give it to, and so on, and so on….once again endlessly!

I recently came across one such softwares that allowed me to re-brand it with any links I wanted.

Guess who I heard about it from? Ewen Chia of course. I re-branded it with links pointing back to some of the websites that I wanted to receive more traffic to. By giving this away, traffic will be coming in for years to come.

It was really inexpensive to do all this, and once re-branded, you can do whatever you want to with the software. You can sell it, or you can just give it away. Whatever you want really. I suggest that you let anybody that gets it from you either by paying for it or for free, you allow them to give it away as well. Hence, your viral traffic will start to happen again, in a whole other stream of flow.

We want the ratings on a car we’re thinking about buying and we find it online.

There is often one underlying prerequisite to our online perusal. We do not want to have to pay to get the information. This information is typically thought to come at no cost when we pay to log onto the Internet.

The entitlement issues have largely been managed by websites competing with other forms of media for your attention. If a site is brokering knowledge they will typically offset the expense by infusing Google AdSense Ads or other PPC or banner ads into the site thus allowing the visitor to have access to the information without the concern of payment.

Even fee-based sites generally have a free tier of service for anyone. A perk-filled membership is generally available at a modest price. If a visitor gains significant value from the free tier they may be inclined to purchase a membership if they feel the extended value is worth it.

Hello, my name is Sally and I work from home.

Let me tell you a bit about me... I used to work as full time retail assistant 8am to 5pm and with 2 young kids I was giving most of my hard earned cash to the childcare center.
